Hi! Penny here again with a new technique for you to play with.
I am so excited about this one - it's been in the pipeline for a little while....and now I can finally show you!
TEXTURE PASTE & TWINE
Many of us have marveled at the creations of Felicity Wilson
and this month she has kindly agreed to show us her secrets!
Step by step instructions HERE
Combine this technique with any of your other challenge entries for March and you can win Jules Gems!
Who wouldn't love that?
Thank you Flis! We love you here at SUYS!
i just love this, and what felicity does with texture paste and twine on her layouts...... will definitely give this a go, but i dont have any texture paste, what do you suggest, is there something i can use instead??
ReplyDeleteHi Amanda! I just did a google search for you. There was one suggestion to mix talc with white acrylic paint to make a paste-y consistency. Another was to use thick white paint over white tissue paper. Would be worth experimenting! Either way, it will take at least overnight to dry I would imagine (like texture paste does). Let us know how you go!
ReplyDeleteOh I have got to try this tech out for sure! So love Felicity creations and i just love to find new ways to use twine :)
ReplyDeletecool thanks heaps penny...... will definitely try both those alternatives and see which one turns out better to actually use on my layout...... thanks for doing that for me
ReplyDeleteNo probs! :)
DeleteLovely creation, but you can do more better than this.
ReplyDeletePlastic Card Holders
Plastic Cards
Scratch Cards
finally did it...... nowhere near like felicitys work, but not bad for a first attempt.......thanks for this technique penny.....and flis....... im hooked now lol
ReplyDeleteawww... lovely to share this with you all. :)) x
ReplyDeleteI love texture & dimension on layouts! I haven't been able to get any texture paste either so I tried using a thick, gooey white acrylic paint & just played around with it, distressing & building it up. A similar result to texture paste I think. Hope that helps :-)
