October Challenge!

Hi everyone!
Welcome to our OCTOBER challenge! (I really can't believe that we are nearing the end of the year so quickly!) This month we have a fabulous mood board challenge that has been designed for you by the very talented Leanne Jago. But this is no ordinary mood board - this one is filled with images of artworks that have been created by Leanne herself!

Here it is...

Besides being inspired by the board for your project, you must also remember to include a handmade embellishment somewhere on your creation. (And no, it doesn't have to be made by you - check out what our team has used for some ideas!) Remember that we welcome all sorts of projects for our challenge - scrapbook layouts, project life pages, cards, mixed media canvases, art journal spreads...as long as it meets our criteria and has been created specifically for our challenge, you are welcome to enter it. (Please note that entering your project into multiple challenges will void your eligibility for prizes with us.)

Our sponsor this month is none other than our challenge designer and artist extraordinaire herself - Leanne Jago from Art by Leanne Jago!

Leanne has created something very special for this month's winner...

This amazing pair of mixed media artworks come matted and ready to pop straight into some 8x10" frames. Aren't they stunning? I am sure they would look fabulous in someone's home (MINE!)
Make sure you are following Leanne's Facebook page Art by Leanne Jago to stay up to date with all her creations.

March Challenge!

Hi everyone! It's officially the first day of autumn here in Australia, but judging by the current weather here in Queensland, I think that summer will still be here for a little while yet! ;)

Besides the first day of autumn it's also new challenge day! And we have a fabulous one for you this month. Design team member Chloe Nielsen has kindly created a sketch for us to work with and it looks like this...

In addition to the sketch, you are also required to include at least one handmade embellishment on your creation. (Our design team always provide plenty of inspiration about different handmade embellishments you can include - these can be homemade or purchased.)

You are welcome to create any project you wish for this challenge layout / card / art journal spread / canvas / pocket page spread - as long we can see how you used the sketch and included a handmade embellishment. Please note that entries must be created solely for our challenge - we do not permit combined challenge entries.

Our fabulous sponsor this month is none other than challenge designer Chloe's own business - Rainbow Splendour and there is a gorgeous package of RBS goodies up for grabs for our winner!

Rainbow Splendour has always been a fantastic supporter of the SUYS challenge, so please show your support in return by ensuring you are a fan of Rainbow Splendour on the Facebook page HERE and you are following the Rainbow Splendour blog HERE
You can also join the Rainbow Splendour Inspiration group on Facebook HERE where you can share your own projects and chat with other members.

January 2016 Challenge!

Happy New Year and welcome to 2016!
We are so excited here as today we start the new year with our new design team line-up, our first challenge of the year and a brand new sponsor too!

November challenge!

Hi Show Us Your Stuff fans! Can you believe that we are up to our second last challenge for the year? Where did the year go? We are now speeding towards Christmas and our summer holidays here in Australia.

This month's challenge has been designed by our very own DT member Sandra Brimelow, and she has a fabulous challenge for you all...

That's right - it's time to travel! For travel themed words think travel, journey, fly, ride, drive, road, suitcase, ticket, map, etc. (Just make sure your travel themed word is prominent on your creation.) Your travel photo could be a holiday snap, photos of someone "travelling", even car selfies!) If you don't have any patterned paper with a map printed on it, think old street directory / atlas, or print / draw your own! There is plenty of room to be creative for this challenge. Just don't forget to include a handmade embellishment somewhere on there too!

This month, we are very pleased to announce a brand new and very special sponsor...

For those who don't already know, our DT member Leanne is not only a super scrapper, but also a very talented artist and photographer to boot! Leanne has recently branched out into creating unique artworks for sale using a variety of mediums including watercolour, ink, acrylic, spray paint and mixed media; and has even begun selling her pieces internationally.

Here are some samples of her work...

You can see more of Leanne's stunning creations via her Facebook page - Art by Leanne Jago and you can also follow her adventures on Instagram - @itswhatido77

Leanne is offering this month's lucky winner their very own customised 8x10" artwork! (The content of which will be determined following discussion between Leanne and the winner - just no people, peeps!) How's that for an amazing prize?

Talk about a tough act to follow - now onto some inspiration from our Design Team...

Sandra (this month's challenge designer)

Star pin and hessian leaves from Rainbow Splendour; flair from D-lish Scraps

There you have it - another fabulous challenge, an amazing prize and a heap of inspiration from the team. Hopefully you are inspired and ready to give it a go! Entries will need to be linked up no later than midnight, 30th November.
Happy scrapping!

October Challenge!

Well here we are - definitely into the pointy end of the year with the last term of school for the year for Aussie kids starting soon. Which means that things are about to get HECTIC! Whatever you do, don't let the month pass you by so quickly that you don't get a chance to scrap! ;)

And on that note I give you this month's challenge, brought to you by our very own super talented DT member Leanne Jago...

{And yes, that is one of Leanne's own photos in the graphic!}

That's right, this month there are NO PEOPLE allowed in your photographs! Instead we want to see what inspires you, what interests you, what makes your heart happy...somewhere, something - anything other than people! And of course, don't forget to include a handmade embellishment somewhere on your creation too!

This month our challenge is being sponsored by the very lovely and very talented Agnus Kasprzak from {scrAp this!}

You can check out some of Agnus' amazing work on her blog HERE
And you can check out a little about {scrAp this!} on the Facebook page HERE or the blog HERE

Happy (no people) scrapping!

September Challenge!

If you are reading this in Australia, then I am sure there will be a few smiles as we officially wave goodbye to winter for yet another year and welcome spring! It's a time for new life, fresh beginnings and of course for us here at SUYS, a brand new challenge!

This month the challenge has been set by ME (Sue) and I have a colour challenge for you all...

Your challenge is to create a layout using {black + white + one other colour}, and you must also include a handmade embellishment somewhere on your layout. Easy right?

Not only have I set the challenge for you this month, but I am also sponsoring it (well my poor neglected little business is anyway, hehe). This month's sponsor is Lovelybug Bits n Bobs.

As I said, poor Lovelybug has been quite neglected of late, but I am sure I have PLENTY of goodies stashed away in my cupboard to put together a fabulous prize pack for our winner.
(You can find the Lovelybug Bits n Bobs Facebook page HERE and see some previous prize packs that have been donated.) I will pop back later in the month to share more details about Lovelybug and the prize pack.

Now, time for the reveal from our Design Team...
