November Mid-month Reveal!

Hi everyone!
Half the month is gone already?! Whaaaaaat?
At least that means it's time for a mid-month reveal from our team! This month our challenge has been designed by our very own DT member Sandra, and it looks like this...

Don't let the criteria overwhelm you though - think outside the square! (For example - if you don't have any actual travel photos to scrap, why not use a car selfie? No patterned paper with a map on it? Print one yourself or even get your kids to draw you one!) And, as always, dont forget to include a handmade embellishment somewhere on your layout!

And a reminder about this month's AMAZING prize! Our very own artist in residence and DT member Leanne from Art by Leanne Jago has offered our lucky winner their very own customised 8x10"artwork!

SUYS DT CALL!!! We Want YOU!!!!!

That's right, its almost the end of another year, 

and time for us to look for some new DT members!!

DT Call open 4th Nov - 22 Nov

If you are a keen scrapbooker, card maker or project lifer, 

and love using handmade embellishments, we would love to hear from you!!

Show Us Your Stuff is all about showing off your style, while showcasing HANDMADE EMBELLISHMENTS, so this is our first and most important requirement for our design team members! Our second and equally important requirement is that you must be a team player. You must be able to commit to active participation in our team at all times (we know life gets busy, and we are flexible, but we can't always rely on one person to do everything!).

Other requirements:

1 example per month (to be loaded as per schedule),

commenting and voting on entries each month,

active participation in our planning group,

setting and planning challenges,

assisting in sourcing sponsors,

active participation on our Show Us Your Stuff Facebook page,

promotion of our challenges through any social media outlets you use,

able to commit to a possible 12 month position.

If this sounds like a commitment you would like to undertake, please email us at showusyourstuffchblog@gmail.com with details about you and your crafting history, past or current DT commitments (you don't need to have been on past DT's, we just like to know), and 3 examples of your work.

This call is also open to all past and present DT members, and all applications will be considered.

November challenge!

Hi Show Us Your Stuff fans! Can you believe that we are up to our second last challenge for the year? Where did the year go? We are now speeding towards Christmas and our summer holidays here in Australia.

This month's challenge has been designed by our very own DT member Sandra Brimelow, and she has a fabulous challenge for you all...

That's right - it's time to travel! For travel themed words think travel, journey, fly, ride, drive, road, suitcase, ticket, map, etc. (Just make sure your travel themed word is prominent on your creation.) Your travel photo could be a holiday snap, photos of someone "travelling", even car selfies!) If you don't have any patterned paper with a map printed on it, think old street directory / atlas, or print / draw your own! There is plenty of room to be creative for this challenge. Just don't forget to include a handmade embellishment somewhere on there too!

October Challenge!

Well here we are - definitely into the pointy end of the year with the last term of school for the year for Aussie kids starting soon. Which means that things are about to get HECTIC! Whatever you do, don't let the month pass you by so quickly that you don't get a chance to scrap! ;)

September Challenge!

If you are reading this in Australia, then I am sure there will be a few smiles as we officially wave goodbye to winter for yet another year and welcome spring! It's a time for new life, fresh beginnings and of course for us here at SUYS, a brand new challenge!

This month the challenge has been set by ME (Sue) and I have a colour challenge for you all...

Your challenge is to create a layout using {black + white + one other colour}, and you must also include a handmade embellishment somewhere on your layout. Easy right?

Not only have I set the challenge for you this month, but I am also sponsoring it (well my poor neglected little business is anyway, hehe). This month's sponsor is Lovelybug Bits n Bobs.

As I said, poor Lovelybug has been quite neglected of late, but I am sure I have PLENTY of goodies stashed away in my cupboard to put together a fabulous prize pack for our winner.
